Right of all ex-judges in Crimea to receive allowance reinstated
The Judicial Department of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation reinstated the right of all retired judges in Crimea to receive lifelong monthly allowance.

Orphan’s right to fair hearing protected
30 June, the Supreme Court held to grant the petition submitted by the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Ella Pamfilova regarding reinstatement of complainant G.’s rights to judicial protection and a fair hearing. The case was submitted for review.
Justice Ministry excluded first NCOs from foreign agents’ registry
On 19 June, pursuant to the Federal Law No. 7-FZ as of January 12, 1996 On Non-Commercial Organisations, the Ministry of Justice of Russia excluded the Centre of Civic Analysis and Independent Research Fund ‘GRANY’ and the Kostromskoy Centre of Public Initiatives’ Support Fund (NCO) from the registry of foreign agents.
Justice triumphed
On 16 June, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia received a reply from the Military Investigation Department in Moscow to the request to protect the rights of a serviceman from the Military Unit No. 3792, charged with violation of the military service order. The letter of response says the criminal case has been closed and the charges have been dismissed due to the lack of elements of a crime.
Guilty staff member dismissed, others to be inspected
On 15 June, the Prosecutor’s Office of Saint Petersburg reported dismissal of a staff member of the office following an infringement of the terms established by law for consideration of the High Commissioner’s requests. In addition, due to the violation of the terms for consideration of a High Commissioner’s request related to protection of labour rights of Ms K., an official inspection is to be held at the office.
Family reunification
In early June it became known that separation of a multi-child family residing in Achinsk had been prevented with the assistance of staff members of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Prisoner’s right to benefits restored
In late May, with the assistance of staff members of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Office, a legal right of convict I. to receive social disability benefits and monthly payment was restored.
Sick-leave payments received
On 22 May it became known that the rights of convict K., serving a sentence at a correctional facility in Tyumen Region, to receive sick-leave payments have been restored with the assistance of members of the Russian Human Rights Commissioner’s Office.

Right of defence restored
The Saratov Regional Court Panel acknowledged the arguments presented by the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia concerning reversal of the cassation judgement related to convict S. and assignment of a new hearing with participation of an advocate sufficient.
Criminal case closed
On 14 May, the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia received a letter of gratitude from Mr S. for the assistance rendered by the Commissioner’s Office in closure of a criminal case opened against him.
