On June 15, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova took part in the interregional conference "Protection of children in difficult life situations. Prevention of family tribulation".

On June 14, the State Duma adopted in the third and final reading a bill on the renovation of the dilapidated housing in Moscow. 399 deputies voted for the adoption of the law, against — two and one parliamentarian abstained. At the same time, representatives of the factions made a number of significant amendments to the document, a number of them were proposed by High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova.

On June 8, a practical-oriented course within the framework of the traineeship of Russian-speaking representatives of indigenous people took place in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation. This is a specialized human rights training program established by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights with the participation of government authorities as well as the federal Commissioner.

The Office of the High Commissioner receives numerous letters of gratitude to Tatiana Moskalkova in connection with the publication of the Annual 2016 Report on the activity of the High Commissioner in Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Late in May, head of the department for the protection of the rights of military servicemen and law enforcement officers of the High Commissioner Office Sergey Andrianov visited the military disciplinary unit of the Russian Ministry of Defense in the village of Mulino in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The main purpose of the visit was to check the legality and conditions under which convicted servicemen serve their sentences.

Sometimes people do not even think about simple little things, without which life can become unbearable. Clean air and water, reserves, our planet and mineral resources need our protection. In the course of evolution, man learned not only to benefit from nature, but unfortunately to cause irreparable harm to it.

On May 31, Tatiana Moskalkova spoke at the plenary session in the Council of the Federation. For the first time, the Annual Report was considered in accordance with the procedure prescribed by provisions introduced by senators to the Regulations of the Council of the Federation.
