In the evening of March 18, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova presented the results of monitoring of electoral rights observance during the presidential elections at the meeting in the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation.

It is important to me as to the High Commissioner for Human Rights that voters’ rights can be fully realized, and possible violations are suppressed in time. For that purpose, I organized «hotline» so that every person has an opportunity to ask a question.

On March 18, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and the staff of the High Commissioner’s Office conduct a permanent monitoring of the observance of the electoral rights of citizens.

In accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding signed on December 7 by High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and President of General Inspection Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Naser Seraj, the parties expressed their readiness to receive and consider applications from citizens of another country party to the agreement.

The working group, established in accordance with the order of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, is actively monitoring the observance of electoral rights of citizens in the lead-up to the forthcoming presidential elections in Russia.
