On November 9, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and Protector of Citizens (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Serbia Zoran Pasalić signed a Memorandum on Cooperation.

The document is aimed at cooperation on protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Serbia. The Memorandum provides for information-sharing between the two human rights institutes concerning violation of Serbian citizens’ rights in the territory of Russia and violation of Russian citizens’ rights in Serbia, as well as improving human rights mechanisms.

Tatiana Moskalkova and Zoran Pasalić emphasized the importance of the Memorandum and expressed the hope for further strengthening of cooperation on protection of human rights.
