On August 16, in Moscow, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan held a joint reception of citizens of the two countries.

The applicants addressed the ombudspersons with a wide range of issues related to the criminal procedure, social services, migration and other areas.

Tatiana Moskalkova and Arman Tatoyan listened carefully to all complaints and agreed on ways to solve the problems.

The Russian Commissioner noted that the practice of joint receptions of citizens by ombudspersons of the two countries was being implemented for the first time. According to Tatiana Moskalkova, it had demonstrated its effectiveness and relevance.

In turn, Arman Tatoyan noted that the success of the joint reception once again emphasizes the importance of the institute of state human rights defenders and their interaction at the international level.
