On August 16, Tatiana Moskalkova and Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Arman Tatoyan held joint Russian-Armenian human rights consultations in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.

The event was part of the Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance. Tatiana Moskalkova noted that, creating the Alliance, the participating countries attached great importance to working with diasporas.

President of the largest organization of the Armenian Diaspora "Union of Armenians in Russia" Ara Abrahamyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Russia Vardan Toganyan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Offices of National Human Rights Institutions also participated in the meeting.

Joint consultations aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience between state human rights defenders of the two countries and the development of new approaches to solving pressing human rights problems.
