Meeting with experts from World Organisation Against Torture

On November 8, representatives of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation met with experts from the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT).
Representatives of the High Commissioner and OMCT experts exchanged views on the situation with the implementation of the recommendations of the UN Committee against Torture in the Russian Federation.
In particular, representatives of the High Commissioner spoke about the Russian ombudsperson’s activities on the agenda and answered questions of representatives of the international organization.
In conclusion, OMCT experts thanked the representatives of the High Commissioner for constructive cooperation and outlined plans for further cooperation.
