From 4 to 6 March, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova is to pay an official visit to Geneva for the Annual Meeting of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).

Ombudspersons from more than 100 human rights institutions will discuss issues related to the protection of women’s and migrants' rights.

On March 4, the High Commissioner will participate in the meeting of European Network of NHRI members and hold a number of working meetings with representatives of international organizations and ombudspersons from foreign countries.

On March 5, Tatiana Moskalkova is to meet with United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet and Director of Field Operations and Technical Cooperation for the UN Human Rights Office Georgette Gagnon. A Knowledge Exchange on good practices for NHRIs «Addressing women’s and girl’s human rights by applying NHRIs’ mandates and functions under the Paris Principles» will be held this day.

The Alliance is a unique platform that provides an opportunity for ombudspersons from all regions to exchange experience on the most pressing issues of human rights protection.
