High Commissioner spoke about protection of human rights in places of detention at International Conference in Yerevan

On November 28, in Yerevan, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova participated in the International Conference dedicated to the ten-year anniversary of the activity of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia as National Preventive Mechanism.

At panel discussion on ensuring the rights of women and minors in places of detention, the federal ombudswoman spoke about the policy of the Russian Federation on convicted women, and also shared the experience of the Russian human rights institute in resolving complaints and assisting in protecting the rights of citizens in penitentiary institutions.
