On August 20, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova and Chairperson of the National Institution for Human Rights in the Kingdom of Bahrain Ali Ahmed Alderazi signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum is aimed at cooperation in the field of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Bahrain, prompt exchange of information between the national human rights institutions of the two countries, bilateral consultations, joint events. The Memorandum also provides for the organization of scientific and practical conferences, seminars and trainings in order to improve the mechanisms of human rights activities at the local, national and regional levels.
