Residents of the village of Khasanya in the urban district of Nalchik applied to High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova during the personal reception. Residents of Kabardino-Balkaria, who suffered from the mudflow — the disaster that struck them on May 26, 2016 — asked to speed up the process of allocating one-time material assistance and financial assistance in connection with the loss of property.

The matter is that the documents that the Government of Kabardino-Balkaria sent to Moscow were returned for revision. And then there was what the applicants rightly called «red tape»: time went on, but there were no payments…

The High Commissioner applied to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia. As a result, on the basis of the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, the necessary funds were allocated from the reserve fund to the Government of the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic.

Residents of the village of Khasanya wholeheartedly thanked Tatiana Moskalkova for helping them quickly and effectively in a difficult life situation and doing everything possible to restore their housing rights.
