Dialogue with society. Assistance to serviceman

09 April 2018

The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation receives many letters of thanks to Tatiana Moskalkova.

"In October 2017, I applied to you with a request to help in restoring my violated constitutional rights," wrote a resident of the Moscow Region, T. In his case, the Podolsk City Court granted the suit of the military prosecutor of the Podolsk garrison about the seizure of the only housing from the family.

As it turned out, the apartment was purchased from fraudsters. Citizen T. and members of his family were evicted and removed from the registration records, despite the fact that they were bona fide purchasers as former servicemen, they bought a living space at the expense of the state housing certificate, and by the time of the legal proceedings the statute of limitations expired. From the side of the original owner of the apartment, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, no claims were also made.

"Thanks to your interference and the appeal to the Chief Military Prosecutor of the Russian Federation at the stage of the appellate review of the case, we managed to convince the military prosecutor of the Podolsk garrison to withdraw his claim against our family. On January 24, the decision of the Podolsk City Court was quashed by the Moscow Regional Court and the apartment was left to us. In addition, having a permanent registration, we can be full-fledged citizens of our country and enjoy all constitutional rights. Dear Tatiana Nikolaevna! Let me express my sincere gratitude for your help in resolving our issue, as well as appreciation to your employees for attentive and professional consideration of my appeal," - T. reports.
