A year after reunion of Crimea with Russia, the human rights situation in the region is still worse than as compared to that one in the country in total, but changes for the better are obvious. In an interview for Interfax journalist Dmitry Zhmutsky, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Crimea Lyudmila Lubina told about observation of the rights of the Crimeans who refused from Russian citizenship, the ones who came back from deportation, and those who serve sentence in the republic.

The commissioner noted that the interruption in the work of teachers in Trans-Baikal territory due to the delay of such payments was legitimate.
