On 14 May, deputies of the 76th extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ingushetia unanimously voted for appointment of Dzhamdulat Ozdoev to the post of the regional commissioner for human rights for the second  five-year  term.

On 19 May, Information Security of Children Workshop organised by Commissioner for Human Rights in the Chechen Republic Nurdi Nukhazhiev was held in Grozny.

On 19 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Irkutsk Region Valeriy Lukin presented his report on indigenous peoples’ rights to the Committee for Social and Cultural Legislation of the Regional Legislative Assembly, the VSP.ru reports.

Earlier in May 2015, with the assistance of Commissioner for Human Rights in Leningrad Region Sergey Shabanov and Deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly Nikolay Pustotin, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War was granted with a refugee status which serves as a legal foundation for pension payment.

Commissioner for Human Rights in Pskov Region Dmitry Shakhov laid flowers to the war memorial in commemoration of the Red Army soldiers killed in Lithuania during the Great Patriotic War. The Commissioner will ask the President and the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation to immortalise the feat of the hero tankman and his five  comrades-in-arms  among the fallen.

More than 2,200 inmates have been released as part of an amnesty proclaimed in the honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, acting deputy head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Valery Maksimenko told during press conference.

On 24 April, Commissioner for Human Rights in Voronezh Region Tatiana Zrazhevskaya issued a letter of opinion against unfounded inclusion of the regional Media Rights Centre into the registry of foreign agents. The document was sent to Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova.

On 23 April, regional MPs unanimously approved appointment of former Director of the Regional Department for Natural Resources Management and Environmental Protection Alexander Panin to the post of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Belgorod Region.

On 22 April, a social project The Care Knowledge Institute is to be launched on the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Buryatia Yulia Zhambalova. The project is to be held in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Security Social Support Centre, Sberbank of Russia, and the Law Institute at East Siberia State University of Technology and Management.
