Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya in cooperation with the republican Military Registration and Enlistment Office carries out a program of educational trainings for army conscripts and their parents with the aim of monitoring the situation, preventing and giving prompt response to violations of their rights. 

On 21 May, the first edition of The Convict's Reference Book was presented to the inmates at the ceremony held at Penal Colony No. 1 in Bryansk. 

On 27 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in  Hkanti-Mansi  Autonomous Area — Yugra Alexander Sidorov presented his annual Report on Human Rights in Yugra in 2014, at the 44th meeting of the regional parliament.

On 27 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Arkhangelsk Region Lyubov Anisimova along with Deputy Prosecutor of Arkhangelsk Region Vladimir Ananyev carried out a planned joint visit to the Penal Colony No. 7 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Department in Arkhangelsk Region.

On 25–26 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Kirov Region Alexander Panov along with Human Rights Implementation in the Penal System Assistant Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service Department in Kirov Region Dmitry Kokorin carried out an inspection of correctional facilities.

On 26 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Samara Region Olga Galtsova presented her annual report On Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms in Samara Region in 2014 at the regular meeting of the Samara Regional Duma. Having accepted the report, the deputies expressed their readiness to cooperate.

On 20 May, Legal Assistance Day took place in Kazan. This is a monthly event organised by Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya jointly with the regional department of the public organisation ‘Russian Union of Pensioners’. Over 75 citizens took part in the event, 92 questions were answered.

On 21 May, Commissioner for Human Rights in Novosibirsk Region Nina Shalabaeva presented her report about result of work in 2014. The presentation was held in the framework of the meeting of the Commissioner’s Expert Council for Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms in Novosibirsk Region. The report was approved by the Expert Council.

‘Lawyers To People’ project has been carried out in Altai Territory for the second year. Systematic multilevel work on legal education of young people is realised in the framework of the project.

Commissioner for Human Rights in Krasnodar Territory Segrey Myshak gave an open course of lectures ‘The Role and Significance of the Institute of the Commissioner for Human Rights’. Teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Economics, Management and Business and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Kuban State Technological University attended the course.
