Anatoly Chadov reelected as Commissioner for Human Rights in Orenburg Region
On 20 June, members of the Legislative Assembly of Orenburg Region re-elected Anatoly Chadov as the regional Commissioner for Human Rights.
Kaluga Region Commissioner assisted refugees
Commissioner for Human Rights in Kaluga Region Yuriy Zelnikov visited a temporary accommodation centre for refugees from Ukraine located in the Berezichskaya Social Hotel, the branch of the Kaluga Region State Autonomous Facility "Centre of Post Boarding School Assistance ‘Spread your wings!’". Yuriy Zelnikov clarified for the refugees how to acquire Russian citizenship, explained some employment and social benefits issues.
Public observation over Uniform State Exam in Ekaterinburg
A representative of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Sverdlovsk Region attended three leaving examinations in Ekaterinburg in the capacity of a public observer. There were no violation of children’s rights, but Natalia Ulyanova is concerned about episodes of excessive control.
Ecological situation in Leningrad region improved
Thanks to the help of Commissioner for Human Rights in Leningrad Region Sergey Shabanov, a breeding factory has been punished for illegal disposal of manure. The Krasnoarmeisky Breeding Factory, CJSC was fined and obliged to utilise wastes of cattle.
More than 100 people given free legal advice in Saratov
On June 10, an open event for free legal assistance took place in Saratov upon an initiative of Commissioner for Human Rights in Saratov Region Tatiana Zhurik. Representatives of 15 different authorities participated in the event.

Moscow Region Commissioner held open office hours for public in Ruza
On 9 June, Commissioner for Human Rights in Moscow Region Ekaterina Semyonova held open office hours for the public in Ruza municipal district. Representatives of the district administration, law enforcement bodies, prosecutor’s office and other officials took part in the event.

Free legal aid in Russia: myth or reality?
Procedure for reception of extra packages by convicts in Ivanovo Region to be eased
On 7 June, a working meeting to determine the procedure according to which convicts could receive additional packages for medical reasons took place in the Ivanovo Region Department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia. The participants in the meeting initiated by Commissioner for Human Rights in Ivanovo Region Natalia Kovalyova held that these procedures should be made easier.

Meeting with participants to UN Indigenous Fellowship Programme
On 9 June, staff members of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia held a regular meeting with participants to the UN Russian Speaking Indigenous Fellowship Programme. This year the Office hosted guests from the Association of Indigenous people of the North, Siberia and Far East of the Russian Federation, selected by the OHCHR.
Chelyabinsk hosted sport event for children with intellectual disabilities
On 8 June, a large sport event the Young Athlete of the Special Olympics of Russia for children with intellectual disabilities took place in Chelyabinsk. More than a hundred people participated in the event. The event happened largely thanks to Commissioner for Human Rights in Chelyabinsk Region.
