Relatives of Chelyabinsk resident who died in army got insurance and benefit payments
Commissioner for Human Rights in Chelyabinsk Region Margarita Pavlova secured insurance and benefit payments for relatives of a conscript who had died in army. 5,700,000 roubles have already been entered in accounts of the serviceman’s relatives. The term of investigation into the conscript’s death has been prolonged till 5 September.

Beach for disabled opened in Anapa
The first beach in Anapa fully equipped for people with disabilities has been opened under the aegis of the Krystal Rehabilitation Centre. The project has been supported by the city administration and Commissioner for Human Rights in Krasnodar Territory Sergey Myshak.

Medical unit opened In Starodub Correctional Facility
On 24 June, Commissioner for Human Rights in Bryansk Region Vyacheslav Tulupov attended an opening of new medical unit in the Starodub maximum security correctional facility (Correctional Facility No. 5 of the Bryansk Region General Department of the FPS of Russia). The ceremony was also attended by representatives of local authorities, the FPS officials, and human rights protection activists.
Country house of Penza resident reconnected to power supply
With the assistance of Commissioner for Human Rights in Penza Region Elena Rogova, power supply has been restored in the country house of a disabled resident of Penza. The chairman of gardeners' association, who had illegally cut off the electricity in the country house, was held liable for the administrative offence.
Parliamentarians and commissioners discussed protection of indigenous minorities
On 14–17 June, the XII Conference of the Arctic Region Parliamentarians took place in Ulan-Ude . A representative of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia, Chief of Forward Planning and Preparation of Reports Section Marina Stepanova took part in the conference. She made a presentation on the topic ‘Protection of rights of indigenous minorities as one of the lines of the High Commissioner’s activity’.
