Representatives of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) suggested that the regular summer school on human rights in 2016 be held in Voronezh, reported Commissioner for Human Rights in Voronezh Region Tatiana Zrazhevskaya to Governor Alexey Gordeev.

The 4th Summer School on Human Rights organised by the OHCHR with assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia is to be held in June 2016. It has become possible thanks to the active participation of Ms Zrazhevsakya in educational events held by the Moscow Office of the OHCHR, the Voronezh Commissioner’s Office commented. In addition, the Voronezh State University joined the Consortium of Russian Universities within the framework of the Human Rights Master’s Programme.

Every year the summer school is conducted in different regions of Russia. In 2015 it has already been held in the city of Kazan.
