On 4 March the above conclusion was made by participants in the international conference that took place in Ekaterinburg with the assistance of the human rights commissioner in Sverdlovsk region.

The conference involved specialists of all areas concerned: police, medics, social workers, teachers, Sverdlovsk Region Court officials and human rights community representatives.

The international survey data given at the event showed that the violence against women performed by a husband or male partner also seriously affects children in the family. The lack of attention to the problem and its prevention results in violation of the most vulnerable social group’s rights — children’s rights.
