On March 23, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a video conference call with candidate for the position of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kirov Region Galina Burkova.

During the conversation, Tatiana Moskalkova and Galina Burkova discussed the human rights situation in the region, in particular, topical issues of observing social rights of citizens. The meeting participants paid attention to protecting the rights of citizens in the field of health care, housing and communal services, as well as in the labor sphere.

Following the conversation, Tatiana Moskalkova agreed on the appointment of Galina Burkova to the post of Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kirov Region.
