Tatiana Moskalkova approved appointment of Human Rights Commissioner in the Udmurt Republic

On March 1, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova agreed on the appointment of Viktor Kushko to the post of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Udmurt Republic.
During the videoconference conversation, Tatiana Moskalkova and Viktor Kushko discussed the human rights situation in the region, in particular, housing issues, protection of social rights, housing for orphans, environmental issues, as well as the process of implementing the federal law on the Commissioners for Human Rights in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation into the legislation of the region. The ombudspersons outlined directions for further human rights cooperation.
In conclusion, the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation and the candidate for the post of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Udmurt Republic expressed confidence in fruitful cooperation to promote human rights and freedoms.
