Tatarstan Commissioner carries on with monitoring the protection of army conscripts' and servicemen's rights
Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya in cooperation with the republican Military Registration and Enlistment Office carries out a program of educational trainings for army conscripts and their parents with the aim of monitoring the situation, preventing and giving prompt response to violations of their rights.
The program consists of trainings which are held twice a month at Legal Knowledge School in different cities. Until this time more than 1,300 army conscripts and their parents from 33 municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan have attended the classes. Moreover, the regional Commissioner organised visits to military units and examined living conditions of servicemen as well as facilitated the arrangements for the army conscripts to be accompanied to the places of their active service on a regular basis.
Moreover, there were received about 40 appeals through the tip line established for army conscripts and their parents. The next tip line will be arranged on June 16.
