On September 10, on a single voting day, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Tomsk region Elena Kartashova visited a number of events dedicated to observing the electoral rights of citizens.
On September 10, Irina Kirkora, a member of the Presidential Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, also works in Tomsk. One of the main tasks of human rights defenders is the collection of objective information about the course of election campaigns in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as the prevention and resolution of conflicts.
At 8 o’clock in the morning a working meeting took place, in which Irina Kirkora, as well as the Chairperson and the Secretary of the Tomsk Oblast Election Commission took part.
The meeting participants discussed the features of the organization of voting, providing an accessible environment for challenged people, counting votes and determining the results of voting in the early elections of the regional Governor. The procedure for working with voters' appeals was an individual issue for discussion.
In the first half of the day, Elena Kartashova visited polling stations No. 205 and No. 44, talked to observers, with the chairperson of the PEC, there were no reports concerning violation of electoral rights.
