Sevastopol Commissioner protected citizens’ rights in case of emergency
Thanks to the interference of the Commissioner for Human Rights in Sevastopol Pavel Butsay, the disposal of the Great Patriotic War bomb was done without explosive demolition.
The citizens of Sevastopol appealed to Pavel Butsay expressing their anxiety related to the ahead explosive demolition of the bomb
After a careful examination of the furnished materials, the Commissioner appealed to the administration of Sevastopol requesting to do that disposal without explosive demolition but in accordance with all security measures that were necessary for people’s lives and health and to minimize the damage to accommodation.
As a result of adequate and orchestrated actions of the officers of the Head Office of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters in the city of Sevastopol and of Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the bomb disposal was done in compliance with the appeal of the Commissioner, not a single living accommodation was damaged.
Thus, thanks to the assistance of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the city of Sevastopol, the rights of citizens in case of emergency were protected.
