Independence and authority of Russian ombudsmen

President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma the draft laws which are to considerably change interaction between regional authorities and human rights commissioners.

This refers to the draft federal constitutional law On Amendments to the Federal Constitutional Law On Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation and the draft federal law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation to Improve the Work of Human Rights Commissioners.
