On October 29, Head of the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Penza Region Anna Elistratova took part in the round table discussion «Actual Issues of the Activities of the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) of the Penza Region» held by the Public Chamber of the Penza Region. The event was participated by representatives of legislative and executive authorities, the Penza Region Prosecutor’s Office, the Federal Penitentiary Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza Region, public organizations and the media.

During the roundtable, Anna Elistratova made a welcoming speech to the members of the fifth convocation of the Penza Region PMC, noted the main areas of interaction of the Commissioner with PMCs of previous convocations, and also outlined possible prospects for further cooperation.

The presentation of mandates to members of the Penza Region PMC of the fifth convocation took place in a festive atmosphere.
