Rights of former serviceman restored with assistance of Chelyabinsk Commissioner
With the assistance of Commissioner for Human Rights in Chelyabinsk Region Margarita Pavlova a former serviceman’s pension amount has been reassessed. As a result, the amount of pension payments has increased by three times.
Former serviceman G., who had served under contract in 1993–2004, appealed to the regional Commissioner. He reported that he had been injured in 2001and military medical commission had recognized him as the III category disabled person as a result of military trauma. Therefore, he had been provided with the relevant pension.
In 2016, a medical expert examination concluded that he had the III disability group as a result of general disease, and the pension payments were re-amounted to 5,500 RUB.
Having examined the documents provided by citizen G., the Commissioner petitioned the competitive bodies and secured justice for the former serviceman. Complainant G. was put under repeat medical expert examination which confirmed the military trauma had been the cause of his disability. The former serviceman was granted with pension payments three times exceeding the previous ones.
