On July 21, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Primorye Territory Valeriy Rozov took part in a meeting of the working group on interaction of the regional Electoral Commission with public organizations of persons with disabilities.

This event is timed to the forthcoming single voting day on September 10, 2017. Participants discussed the provision of unhindered access of voters with disabilities to polling sites.

Valeriy Rozov noted that in addition to low-mobility citizens among voters, there is a category of people who, due to their respectable age, have difficulties in implementing electoral rights, and these people should also be concidered.

Moreover, participants noted the high level of provision of socially significant facilities of the subject with special equipment for low-mobile groups of citizens and discussed measures to increase the number of adapted facilities.
