On 4 April, Commissioner for human rights in the Novosibirsk region Nina Shalabaeva conducted an on-site inspection of the collective appeal of Novosibirsk citizens living at Krasny Prospekt, 100., The tenants indicated in the petition their disagreement with the ground floor redevelopment being carried out by the commercial organization LLC «Blesk-Stom».

During the inspection of one of the applicants’ apartment, a crack on the bathroom floor was demonstrated to Nina Shalabaeva. According to the apartment owner, this defect was a result of the redevelopment work.

The house tenants also indicated that large openings had been made in the inter-floor constructions to implement utility supply networks and infrastructure and had demolished framings. The changes can cause the entire house to collapse.

In conclusion the regional commissioner personally entertained citizens; oral explanations were given to the applicants. The petition is under personal control of the ombudsman.
