The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region stablished the practice of on-site receipts of complaints from citizens who had repeatedly appealed to various instances on their problems.

On February 25, deputy Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod Region Elena Baryshnikova and head of the department for organizing the activities of the district police officers of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, police lieutenant colonel Igor Matveyev visited 2 «challenging addresses».

Visiting of applicants at the place of residence is due to the repeated appeals of citizens and pending issues concerned. The visitors were accompanied by a number of specialists — the police, lawyers, psychologists from the women’s crisis centre, social security officers.
