Meeting with participants to UN Russian Speaking Indigenous Fellowship Programme

On 19 June, staff members of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia met with participants to the UN Russian Speaking Indigenous Fellowship Programme. Representatives of indigenous minorities of Kamchatka, Khabarovsk Territory, the Komi Republic, Leningrad, Kemerovo, Murmansk, and Sakhalin regions took part in the meeting.
Within the framework of the lecture day the aspiring human rights defenders could get acquainted with basic institute’s activities, and learn about the federal human rights commissioner’s interaction with the regions on the issues connected with protection of indigenous minorities’ rights.
