On 12 January, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Ingushetia Dzhambulat Ozdoev chaired a meeting of the regional Council for Civil Society and Human Rights.
In his opening speech, Dzhambulat Ozdoev stressed that the consultative body’s activity would be aimed at cooperation between authorities and society, as well as solving problems of the region’s residents.
Following the meeting, a number of decisions and proposals concerning the Council’s work in 2017 had been made.
The Council for Civil Society and Human Rights in the Republic of Ingushetia contains 15 members, including well-known regional attorneys, scientists, journalists and human rights defenders.
