With assistance of Commissioner for Human Rights in Irkutsk Region Valery Lukin, labor rights of employees of a municipal company have been reinstated. A part of the accrued payroll was paid out and the head of the company was held liable for an administrative offence.

Employees of a municipal utility company filed to the Commissioner a complaint against labour rights violations. They declared they had been waiting for payroll for a long time, for the period from 2014 to November 2015. In addition, the salary was paid once a month instead of due two-time payment.

The Commissioner addressed the local district Prosecutor’s Office. As a result, most of the arrears have been paid off.

Furthermore, an administrative case under Part 1 of Article 5.27 of the Administrative Code (a labour rights violation) has been opened against the head of the company who has been held liable for an administrative offence and fined.
