On 11 July, Commissioner for Human Rights in Bryansk Region Vyacheslav Tulupov participated in the meeting of a working group created to estimate the radiation situation in settlements of Bryansk Region. As a result of the meeting, the municipalities were provided with recommendations on estimating the level of radioactive pollution of soils.

The participants discussed the results of the complex research having been conducted in the settlements located within the borders of the radioactive pollution after the Chernobyl Disaster. The working group is also preparing substantiated proposals to review the borders of the radioactively polluted areas and the list of settlements located thereon.
