Draft law on conditional release of prisoners because of illness discussed at Federation Council
On 31 March, Deputy Head of Chancery of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ivan Solovyov took part in the round table titled "Improvement of the Procedure of Release from Imprisonment because of a Serious Illness", which was held at the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The panel discussion was organized by the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building and the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
The participants of the event discussed the draft federal law on the conditional release because of an illness which was prepared by a workgroup formed by the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation.
