Day of Law and NGOs in Ulyanovsk Region: Young disabled and large families’ human rights protection

On 3 June, Commissioner for Human Rights in Ulyanovsk Region Lyudmila Krutilina participated in one of the stages of the Professional Citizen Forum run by the Ulyanovsk Region Governor’s Council for Civil Society and Human Rights. Day of Law and NGOs was held in the Veshkaymsky District on the last day of spring and included several important events.
On the Commissioner’s initiative, the lesson called 'The School of Law' was conducted in the Sosnovy Bor rehabilitation centre for the young disabled in the industrial community of Veshkayma. Lyudmila Krutilina together with the guest speakers explained how to gain free legal aid and to protect one’s rights; then she hosted reception and consulted the patients of the centre on personal matters.
The egal experts also took part in large families’ honouring and awarding the Family personal capital certificates, as well as in the round table on the increase of the role of public organizations in the decision making regrading beautification, gasification and implementation of other peoples’ initiatives in the Veshkaymsky District of Ulyanovsk Region.
