Commissioner in Trans-Baikal Territory presented the report on activities for 2017

In his speech, he explained that the main objectives of the Commissioner’s activities in the reporting year were the restoration of violated rights and the effort to guarantee the state protection of human and civil rights and freedoms.
The Commissioner noted that in 2017 there were 1,156 appeals, including complaints:
— on violation of housing
— on social security- 127;
— on violation of labour rights- 63;
-on officials, law enforcement authorities and prosecutors- 175;
— on judicial protection- 132;
— on violation of children’s rights- 30;
— on the conditions in places of
— on other issues- 265.
As Nikolay Kargin noted, the end of 2017, once again, showed that some results in human rights activity are possible when there is a smooth interaction and cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities, judicial authorities, local authorities, law enforcement and supervisory authorities and public organizations.
