Protection of social rights of war veterans and single pensioners are taken by Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Crimea Lyudmila Lubina for special control.

So, the ombudswoman was addressed by an inhabitant of Moscow in the interests of 93-year-old war participant, living in one of the villages of the Kirov region in the Crimea. Due to certain life circumstances, in her declining years, the elderly woman was left homeless and without family, lived with strangers, who had taken care of her for a long time. The complainant repeatedly appealed to the social services for that the government took care of an elderly woman, but all the appeals were remained without concrete deadlines for the problem solution.

Taking into account the interaction of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Crimea with the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic, in a short time, all the necessary documents for obtaining a permit to the institution of social services were collected and issued. Moreover, Lyudmila Lubina made sure the participant of war was delivered smoothly in a social institution.
