Commissioner in Tatarstan spoke to OTR audience about army conscripts’ rights

On 15 July, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Saria Saburskaya spoke about her experience in the military recruitment campaign on air of the new interactive information and analytic project #OTRazhenie initiated by OTR TV channel.
The Commissioner has noted that since 2010 the Republic has been taking measures to accompany newcomers to their permanent duty locations and visit military units to see the living conditions of Tatarstan servicemen to prevent harassment in the Armed Forces of Russia.
Today, at the recruit depot each conscript from Tatarstan receives a comfortable modern military uniform, a payroll card, a law handbook published by the Commissioner’s Office, and a mobile phone with a tip line number to contact their family.
Over 65 units having Tatarstan residents as servicemen have been inspected by now.
