Commissioner for Human Rights in the Komi Republic Nadezhda Bykovskaya assisted a complainant, Ms L., to receive money instead of an apartment.
According to the Press Service of the Commissioner, "in 2015, Ms L. submitted a complaint to the Commissioner in the Komi Republic, since she had a court order as of 2011 pursuant to which she was entitled to receive an apartment, but she could not make the city administration implementing that order".
The Commissioner proposed the court be petitioned to amend this ruling. As a result the court amended the way the ruling shall be executed and the petitioner received the entitlement to the amount of 3.7 million rubles.
"Of course, it is easier to recover money than to wait for an apartment. However, the officials of the municipal administration did not offer this solution, they did not inform the citizen L. deliberately", the Commissioner noted.
