Club of Kuban Civil Society Activists established in Krasnodar Territory

On 3 June, on the initiative of Commissioner for Human Rights in Krasnodar Territory Sergey Myshak a round table devoted to the issues of civil society development was held in the region. The proposal to establish a club of Kuban Civil Society Activists, which would become a new discussion platform for representatives of the public and authorities, was the main topic of the event. The idea of establishing the club belongs to Sergey Myshak.

According to the Commissioner, the club may become a bridge between the authorities and non-government sector. Civil activists supported the proposed format and shared their problems.

Representatives of public organizations spoke about the growing involvement of people in the environmental issues, implementation of the ‘Accessible Environment’ project for people with disabilities, access of socially oriented NGOs to the budgetary funds allocated for provision of social services to the population. Besides, the participants in the event discussed the issues of legal education, new forms of work with young people and the cooperation of NGOs with the advocates’ community.
