On 2 May, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Chelyabinsk Region Margarita Pavlova and the president of the regional chamber of lawyers Ivan Kazakov signed an agreement on cooperation.

The subject of the agreement was the consolidation of efforts in the field of protecting and observing the rights of citizens in the Chelyabinsk Region.

During the event, Margarita Pavlova told Ivan Kazakov about the activities of the Commissioner and raised issues of concern. In particular, the Commissioner noted the need to expand the list of cases requiring free legal assistance provision.

In addition, the sides discussed the forthcoming work on joint legislative initiatives, the preparation of an information brochure, the conduct of legal education activities, as well as the participation of the expert advocacy community in the activities of the Commissioner.

In conclusion, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Chelyabinsk Region and the president of the regional chamber of lawyers outlined a plan for joint activities for 2017 year.
