Altai Commissioner spoke at civil servants’ training

On July 19, Commissioner for Human Rights in the Altai Territory Boris Larin, attended a civil servants' training session at the Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation in the Altai Territory.
In his speech, the Ombudsman spoke about the history of the Commissioner’s institution, his functions and competence. Also, Boris Larin described the Human Rights situation in the region, providing the audience with examples from his work practice.
"Close and effective cooperation is established between the Commissioner and the Ministry of Justice. This allows us to carry out examinations of documents and materials, to work with public human rights organizations and to discuss topical issues," Boris Larin said.
