Altai Commissioner protected applicant’s tax rights
Citizens occasionally appeal to Commissioner for Human Rights in the Altai Territory Boris Larin to clarify the proceedings for application of tax benefits and grounds for tax exemption.
A woman residing in Shelabolikhinsky District complained about unlawful actions by tax inspectors during the land tax assessment. She said that despite the available benefit the amount of the tax increased every year.
At the Commissioner’s request, the Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Altai Territory conducted an inspection. It turned out that the taxpayer was not given a tax privilege as a labor veteran, so it caused overpayment.
The applicant will receive the recalculation of tax and the overpayment will be returned in accordance with Article 78 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.
