Tatiana Moskalkova summed up results of visit to Crimea and Sevastopol

On 14 May, High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova held a press conference on outcomes of her visit to Crimea and Sevastopol.

Answering the journalists’ questions, Tatiana Moskalkova noted that the informative visit had provided her with a complete picture of «what needs to be done for these two most important regions during their integration into the Russian system». The High Commissioner named a complex of social and economic difficulties the Peninsula’s residents faced the «global problem» of the region.

Tatiana Moskalkova stressed that the problem of citizenship had remained as pressing as before. «It also concerns the issues of rehabilitation of Crimean Tatars who had arrived here following the President’s order, bud failed to receive citizenship under simplified procedures," the High Commissioner underlined.
