On July 23, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova the Report on the Activity of High Commissioner for 2018 at the plenary session of the Federation Council.

The federal ombudswoman thanked the members of the upper chamber of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for their support and assistance in working to strengthen the legitimate human rights.

"I would like to say a few words about the work on strengthening the institution of Commissioners for Human Rights in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which we conduct in close cooperation with the Federation Council. Today, the institute of state human rights protection has developed and works effectively in all regions. In total, the regional Commissioners examined more than 180 thousand appeals last year and assisted in restoring the violated rights of more than 300 thousand citizens," Tatiana Moskalkova said.

The ombudspersons from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation also attended the presentation of the Report.
