Tatiana Moskalkova participated in International Child Volunteers Congress

October 14, Tatiana Moskalkova took part in the International Child Volunteers Congress, which was held in the Hall of Columns of the House of Unions.

The forum was organized by the All-Russian Public Charitable Foundation «Russian Children’s Fund» and the Union of Public Funds «International Association of Children’s Funds» and was dedicated to the «Decade of Childhood» announced by the President of the country and the 30th anniversary of the Russian Children’s Fund.

In her welcoming address, Tatiana Moskalkova stressed the importance of helping children and thanked all those gathered for their indifference and participation in that complex «common cause».

«Many thanks to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the leaders of states who understand and appreciate the very difficult, very noble and very important mission — to help children," she said.

In addition, the High Commissioner noted the need for cooperation in this area, as this would help charitable and human rights organizations share their experience and accumulated knowledge.

«You give children joy, and you’ve gathered to share with each other how to do it better, how to increase the amount of this joy in the world. I wish success to all of you! After all, your success means a happy childhood for thousands of small inhabitants of the planet Earth and the future of all of us depends on how they will grow up," Tatiana Moskalkova said, addressing the participants and guests of the congress.

During the event, awards were handed over and performances were given by children’s groups that had achieved Russian and world recognition.

Thus, the award «Worship» was awarded to children who had performed real feats, showed courage, determination, self-sacrifice.

The award was given to a ten-year-old Yulia Chernova from the Belgorod Region, who, during a fire, had broken a window with a fist and taken four kids out of a burning house. A fourth-grader of the Overyat school Mila Frolova, who had saved a sinking child, a pupil of the Rovenkovsky center Maxim Gerasimov, who had helped the girl out of a manhole, and other «little heroes» got the honorable award.

In addition, educators of Russian family orphanages were awarded a fresh prize of the fund — «Noble parenthood — grateful childhood».

About 1000 delegates from constituent entities of Russia, CIS countries, representatives of international organizations took part in the congress. The guests of the event were public and political figures.

Recall, the founder and permanent head of the Russian Children’s Fund is a famous writer Albert Likhanov. The organization has developed and implemented many charitable programs, involving individual citizens and entrepreneurs, commercial enterprises and banks in their implementation. To date, there are 73 departments of the fund in Russia.
