Tatiana Moskalkova met with widows and mothers of those killed on duty

On September 20, during a working visit to the Chechen Republic, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova met in Grozny with widows and mothers of employees of law enforcement agencies who died on duty.

"The most terrible pain comes from the death of a member of family, especially tragically, when the valiant defenders of law and order are killed and irreparable losses fall on the shoulders of their mothers, widows, children," said Tatiana Moskalkova.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the problems of social and material support for families, as well as assistance in obtaining education for the children of the killed.

Widows noted significant daily support from the directing officials of the Chechen Republic.

Following the meeting, Tatiana Moskalkova appealed to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic on the issue of creating a unified base of social benefits.
