Tatiana Moskalkova met with mothers on hunger strike in Moscow

On 12 June, High Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova has met with a group of people who have been on hunger strike to express their protest against the lack of an opportunity to receive social housing in Moscow, as well as a support under the social programmes of the city.
The High Commissioner asked the protesters to take care of their health and stop the hunger strike. To look into the problem of everyone individually, just right after the meeting with Tatiana Moskalkova, a special interviewing session has been opened for the citizens in the High Commissioner’s Office the same day. It will continue till 13 July.
Expressing concern about the situation in the field of provision of social housing to vulnerable social groups, the High Commissioner and the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights will hold a joint meeting on 20 July, where representatives of the municipal authorities and prosecution bodies will be invited to.
