Tatiana Moskalkova discussed with Lyudmila Denisova detention of Russian tanker

On July 25, High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Tatiana Moskalkova held a telephone conversation with Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova about information in mass media concerning the detention of a Russian tanker in the port of Izmail.
During the conversation, Tatiana Moskalkova asked Lyudmila Denisova to clarify the circumstances of the vessel’s detention, as well as the crew: whether there are citizens of the Russian Federation on board, how many are there; whether seafarers are provided with consular support, whether their rights are violated and whether they receive the necessary food and drinking water, whether crew members need medical assistance.
For her part, Lyudmila Denisova promised to clarify in the Ukrainian Security Service the situation with the crew of the vessel in the near future. Ombudswomen agreed to continue humanitarian dialogue.
